William Ryan Pressley (a.k.a.) “DJ Illicit”

I have always wanted to do something artistic with my life; music was the perfect outlet for my creativity.  In other words music is my best friend.  When I can’t count on anything else, I can always rely on music.  I decided that Seneca College’s Radio and Television Broadcasting Program would be the way I’d pursue it. I graduated from Seneca College with an Honors Diploma in Radio Broadcasting. I am now working overnights at The Fan 590 AM as a Board Operator.  I have also worked and volunteered for other stations in the GTA.

I have been a DJ for almost 10 years now and have loved every minute of it.  Over the years, I have supplied music for huge parties that were completely self-promoted. I have also thrown high school jams, been involved in weddings, graduations and formals, as well as professional theatrical productions.  I have also done some clubs and bars around Toronto and the G.T.A. When there was time off I even disc jockeyed in my house just for the hell of it.  Did I mention that music is my life?  I have also been writing, producing and performing my own material.  Look out for Illicit Sound Records.

There is only one other thing that has captured my heart like music - my charity. I’m an Executive Board Member of a Charity called Third World Awareness.  We are an organization that invites university and college students along with professionals to Third World countries; to educate, medicate, and just simply care for people who aren’t as privileged as we are here in Canada.
